What To Expect
Hop off your cruise ship and meet your local guide at a central meeting point nearby Picton’s ferry port. Join your small group of 12 or fewer tour companions and climb into your comfortable tour vehicle for the day. Then sit back and relax while you enjoy the scenic areas of Picton and Blenheim on your way to Omaka and Marlborough’s wine country.
Arrive at your first destination, Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum, which is home to a unique collection of WWI and WWII fighter planes as well as early ‘flying machines’.
If you’re feeling peckish, purchase a snack or lunch at the museum’s restaurant, before setting out on a tour of Marlborough’s winery region where you’ll enjoy a mixture of large production and smaller, boutique and family-run wineries and vineyards.
Have the opportunity to visit two or three, depending on time, and enjoy strolling through barrel rooms and vineyards while learning how the grapes are processed and transformed into wine.
Enjoy ample wine tastings, including the region’s renowned Sauvignon Blancs, as well as the chance to taste artisan chocolates at a nearby boutique chocolate-making factory.
